BIBLE CORE COURSE - BCC (CHR 211/212)

Would you like to read through the whole Bible back to back? Have you ever wondered what times were really like during Biblical Times? Well, when you do a BCC you get to read through the whole Bible and do an in-depth study of a selection of books. Plus BCC pays great attention to giving the students a clear understanding of the culture and history of the Bible. Whether it is dramatizing the word, that gives the students a chance to dress and play the role of Biblical characters or illustrating Jewish or Roman historical society, BCC gets the students involved!!

Course description:

During this course, the students learn how to go through all the steps of The Inductive Bible Study Method - Prayer, Observation, Interpretation, Application and we don’t stop short of Proclamation. A whole week is given on Preaching and Teaching inductively from the Bible. Another whole week is given on how to lead Inductive Small Group Bible studies.

Along with Inductive Teaching, Preaching and Small Group Bible Studies, students also learn how to prepare an evangelistic message. These times are powerful as the excitement of learning God's word spills out onto the streets.

What to expect:

Spending time in God’s word, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you.
Setting aside pre-conceived ideas and approaching the word with a willingness to hear God fresh.
Learning to interpret the Bible in context (symbols, tough passages, ect).
Studying the Bible in the historical setting of its original writing.
Learning to live what the word says by directly applying these principles to your life.
Learning how to proclaim Biblical truths of the word to others.
Being led by God through worship and intercession.

BCC teaches the students to study the word and interpret it for themselves!!!!!!

April BCC optional Field Assignment / Outreach

Most church leaders and Pastors in the remote parts of Africa have had very little or no training in Bible study resulting in limited discipleship of new converts.
The heart of the school will be to equip the students with the Inductive Bible study method and then go on a Field Assignment after the lecture phase.
On the Field Assignment students will have the opportunity to bless others with the tools they learnt during the 3 months lecture phase. The Field Assignment is between 4-5 weeks and the cost depends on duration plus location of outreach.

We invite you to do a BCC. It will be a fun 3 months of learning, study and creativity. That we guarantee!

Prerequisites:

Completion of the Discipleship Training School (YWAM-DTS) and Field Assignment (DSP 211/212).

Credits

12 credits will be earned upon successful completion of the school and 4 more credits for the Field Assignment.
